Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for international action to stop the bloodthirsty and systematic oppression of Palestinians by occupying Israel.

He made this call while talking to members of Turkey’s Justice and Development (AK) Party via video conference on the occasion of the Islamic festival of Eid-ul-Azha on Monday. News from Anadolu.

While describing the importance of Jerusalem, Erdogan said, “If we cannot protect Al-Aqsa Mosque, we will not be able to protect the Holy Kaaba Sharif in the future.” That’s why Jerusalem is our red line. We will never accept any agreement whose aim is to occupy the land of Palestine.

Recently, US President Donald Trump announced the ‘Deal of the Century’, calling it the best agreement of the century to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticized the leaders of the Muslim world, including the Arab League, for their silence on this US proposal to establish peace in the Middle East. He also opposed this agreement.

According to the Reuters report, Erdoğan criticized the silence of Muslim leaders on Trump’s proposal and said, “Jerusalem is very important for all Muslims.” Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi silent why? When will you open your mouth? You are supporting this injustice. It is a shame to see your position.

Erdogan said that the US peace deal is like a “bloody paw” on the fate of Israel and Palestine, which will give Israel the most infamous recognition in the history of humanity. Turkey has no problem with the Jewish people. However, Türkiye will oppose Israel’s tyrannical decision to deprive Palestinians of their rights. Türkiye will not accept ‘illegal state’ Israel.

We are not silent about the tragedies happening in Gaza as well as in other corners of the Islamic world, he said. Our efforts to end the fraternal conflict in Sudan that has been ongoing for more than a year continue. From Libya to Somalia, Afghanistan to Yemen, wherever there is trouble, instability or tragedy, we rush to the aid of the oppressed.
