Heavy rains have caused severe flooding in southeastern China. Roads and houses have been damaged by water. The bridge collapsed. Many people are stuck in water. The power plant has been damaged.

A bridge collapsed in China’s Guangdong province on Monday due to severe flooding caused by continuous heavy rains. In addition, water is flowing over the danger line in different provinces of China and has entered local areas. It has damaged many houses, roads and other important structures. Many are injured and missing.

The country’s state media reported on Monday that local authorities have already evacuated hundreds of thousands of residents to safe havens.

Over 45,000 residents have been evacuated from Meizhou alone due to heavy rains, floods and landslides over the past few days. Rescue operation is still going on there.

Along with the houses, the power plant has been damaged by the severe flood. About one and a half lakh residents of the province became without electricity.

Floods occur every year in Guangdong Province. However, the locals believe that this year’s flood is more severe than previous years. Several people have already died in this flood. Many are also missing.
