Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterated support for the Palestinians and called for a boycott of Israel.

On Monday (September 16), he shared a video on his social media X (formerly Twitter) account, in which he discussed the importance of continuing support for the Palestinians and boycotting Israel.

Erdogan said, Türkiye will always support the Palestinian resistance movement.

We stand by our Palestinian brothers and sisters through our words, our words, our prayers, our humanitarian aid and all our resources, he said. Boycotting Israel gives us strength. Like Prophet Moses, we reject lies. Say ‘no’, take a stand; A boycott of Israel will help keep our resources.

Erdogan’s message was reposted by Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, who called for tougher action against Israel. Altun said, as Türkiye, we will continue to work to protect the rights of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, we will take all necessary steps to stop Israel’s injustice. Until Palestine gains independence, we will continue our efforts.

Incidentally, Türkiye has been strongly criticizing Israel and supporting Hamas leaders. Unlike most of the Western world, the Palestinian resistance group has sided with the liberation movement. Türkiye has called on the UN Security Council and the United States to pressure Israel into accepting a cease-fire proposal.
