
For the first time, Oman held a joint exercise with Iran

The first joint exercise between Middle Eastern countries Iran and Oman has been held. Naval units of the Iranian Army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Omani Navy participated in the exercise.
Iran’s media IRNA reported that the exercise was held in the north of the Indian Ocean and in the Strait of Hormuz, organized by Oman.
According to the press, this exercise mainly focuses on ensuring the security of the sea in the joint military exercise of Iran and Oman. A number of ships, including Iran’s Jamaran destroyer and missile-carrying sophisticated warships, took part in it. Also the Omani Navy participated and the Naval Air Unit assisted.
According to various sources, in this year’s exercise, Iran has clearly demonstrated its capabilities in ensuring the security of the sea.
Oman and Iran have many similarities in terms of rich history, culture and religion. Good relations have been maintained between the two countries for many years.
