Gaza’s largest hospital is now a graveyard: WHO

Israeli forces withdrew from Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital last Monday after two weeks of continuous operations. Israel claims it has been fighting Palestinians inside the hospital the entire time. It has now turned Gaza’s largest hospital into a skeletal structure. Inside which there are only corpses and tombs. This is what the World Health Organization (WHO) has claimed.

It is known that a team of the World Health Organization was allowed to enter the hospital last Friday. They had been trying to reach al-Shifa since March 25. They found at least five bodies lying inside the hospital. Got many graves. The hospital was the backbone of healthcare in Gaza. But every inch of it has been destroyed by Israeli attacks. Valuable hospital equipment was either damaged or completely turned into dust. There is no way to tell if this hospital will be usable again in the future.

It is reported that only 10 of Gaza’s 36 hospitals are partially operational.

The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that famine is imminent in Gaza, various diseases are spreading, and the number of people injured in attacks is increasing. He also called for the protection of other healthcare facilities in Gaza, as well as the protection of health workers and aid workers. He demanded unhindered access of aid to Gaza and a cease-fire.
