Hamas claims that 14 Israeli soldiers were killed in Gaza Khan Yunis

The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, claimed to have killed at least 14 Israeli soldiers in clashes over the past few hours.

The group claimed nine Israeli soldiers were killed in the eastern Az-Zanana district of Khan Yunis, near the city’s border with Israel, Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azjum reported from Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Ajjum also said that three Israeli helicopters have landed to evacuate soldiers injured in the attack.

He added that three Israeli Markava tanks were hit in another attack claimed by Hamas using anti-tank missiles in the Amal area. Five Israeli soldiers were killed.

The Israeli military has not commented on the matter. However, they said two soldiers from the 46th Battalion of the 401st Brigade were seriously wounded in central Gaza on Saturday. The jawans have been evacuated for treatment and their families have been informed.
