Thousands of Israelis protested against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the country’s media sources, at least 100,000 people participated in the rally against the Netanyahu government. Their program is to demand a hostage agreement in Gaza.

Elad Katzir was kidnapped and taken to Gaza during the Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7. The IDF recovered his body on Saturday. He was seen alive in a video released of the hostages in January.

One protester, Naomi Perry, said Elad Katzi had survived three months in captivity. He should have been with us today. He could be with us today.

Protesters rallied in about 50 locations across Israel, organizers said. A series of anti-government rallies calling for Prime Minister Netanyahu’s resignation have expressed anger that he has failed to free the remaining hostages. There were fears that he might not be able to free the remaining hostages.

On October 7, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas entered the border of Israel and launched a sudden attack. After that, the Israeli forces attacked Gaza again. The conflict has continued there for six months since then. Women and children are the biggest victims of this deadly war. There is no indication when the conflict between Israel and Hamas will end.
