The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah said that the missile attack was carried out on Israeli positions. This includes a military-industrial complex north of Haifa.
In a statement on Thursday, Hezbollah said Hezbollah fighters opened fire on the Israeli town of Kiryat Motzkin in support of the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and in defense of Lebanon and its people.
Video footage on social media showed several rockets fired from Lebanon hitting Kiryat Shmona. Hizbullah said they fired Falak-2 missiles at Kiryat Shamona settlement in Israel.
In another statement, Hezbollah reported a missile attack on the military industrial complex of the Rafael Munitions Company north of Haifa.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that a missile hit an area south of Safad. However, no warning or siren was heard during this attack.
Israeli forces have bombarded southern and eastern Lebanon heavily in recent days. In retaliation, Hezbollah launched a wide-ranging offensive deep into the occupied territories.
On Wednesday, the Lebanese armed group attacked the Mossad headquarters in the Israeli capital, Tel Aviv.
In the context of this ongoing crisis, both the United States and France have proposed a cease-fire at the United Nations to stop the conflict. However, Israel did not respond to this proposal and announced that it would continue to increase its attacks.
According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, at least 620 people have been killed and more than 2,000 injured in the ongoing attacks since September 23.
In addition, as a result of the Israeli attack, the southern region of Lebanon, especially the border towns, are suffering heavy losses. About 500,000 people have been forced to flee their homes.
