According to Saudi media, the temperature has dropped the most in the Turaif district of the country’s Northern Border Province. The current temperature there is minus 3 degrees Celsius.
In addition, the temperature dropped to minus 1 degree in Al Qurayyat and Al Jouf, zero degree in Rafah, 2 degrees in Arar, 3 degrees in Hafr Al Baten, 4 degrees in Tabuk and Hail, 6 degrees in Buraidah, 8 degrees in the capital Riyadh and Abha, and 9 degrees in the coastal cities of Dammam, Al Ahsa, Jeddah and Taif.
The latest bulletin of the National Center of Meteorology, the Saudi Meteorological Department, said that this cold wave has appeared in the interior due to the influence of cold air coming from the Siberian region of Russia.
