Hotel owners in the Indian state of Tripura have decided to temporarily close all hotels and restaurants to Bangladeshi nationals in protest against the torture of Hindus in Bangladesh and the unjust arrest of Chinmoy Prabhu.

This decision was taken recently at an emergency meeting of the Tripura Hotel Association.

The Hotel Association said that they were forced to take this tough step due to some recent incidents.

In this regard, Association Secretary Saikat Banerjee said that services to Bangladeshi nationals will be closed in all hotels and restaurants in the state in protest against the torture of Hindus in Bangladesh and the unjust arrest of Chinmoy Prabhu. However, only those who have been taking hotel services in the past will be allowed to stay. Others will not be provided with services.

Apart from this, stickers will be put up in front of every restaurant for a while – Bangladeshis will not be allowed to enter.
