Iran has fired more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel. Among them were several ballistic missiles. It cost Israel more than $1 billion in missiles and munitions to repel Iran’s attack within hours.
On Tuesday (April 16), Al Jazeera reported that Iran used a 450 kg missile to attack Israel.
In this regard, Israeli media Channel-Twelve published a video. It showed an Iranian ballistic missile weighing 450 kg. It was recovered from the Dead Sea. It is believed to have fallen into the Dead Sea during an attack on Israel.
The video shows the missile near an Israeli military base. Next to it is another Palestinian-flagged missile. However, neither side has confirmed whether the missile was actually launched by Iran. The video also could not be independently verified.
Hundreds of Iranian drones and missiles hit Israel at night on Saturday (April 13) local time. Tehran carried out this attack to avenge the attack on its consulate in Syria.
Meanwhile, Iran has temporarily shut down its nuclear facilities due to security issues after Iran’s drone and missile attacks on Israel. Rafael Grossi, head of the UN nuclear watchdog, confirmed the matter on Monday (April 15).
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a UN Security Council meeting, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Grassi was asked whether he feared an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities in retaliation for the attack.
In response, he said, ‘We are always in this fear. What I can tell you is that our inspectors in Tehran were told by the Iranian government on Sunday that the nuclear facilities we are inspecting every day will be closed for security reasons.
