900 hospitalized due to air pollution in Pakistan

The air pollution in Lahore, Pakistan has taken a terrible turn. About 900 people have already been hospitalized due to air pollution-related illnesses.
According to a report by the country’s Dawn news agency, the air pollution situation in the city has become so extreme that it is burning in the eyes and throat when you go out on the street.
It is learned that all schools in Lahore as well as several other cities in Punjab province have been closed to protect children from pollution. The authorities have announced that schools will be closed until November 17. The air pollution situation is regularly highlighted by the Swiss-based company IQAir.
The index created for air quality gives people information about how clean or polluted the air of a particular city is.
According to IQAir, Lahore’s score on the air quality index has crossed 1,000. The city’s last score on Tuesday morning was 770.
