The Lebanon-based military organization Hezbollah launched a drone attack on the missile defense system deployed in the Beit Hillel military base in the northern part of Israel, after Iran’s retaliatory attack.

Earlier, Israel’s air force said its warplanes had attacked Iran-backed Hezbollah’s “terrorist infrastructure” in Lebanon, raising fears of further escalation of the conflict along Israel’s northern border.

On the other hand, Netanyahu met with German Foreign Minister Annalena Bierbock and UK Foreign Minister David Cameron who are visiting Israel on Wednesday. Netanyahu thanked them for their support, the Prime Minister’s Office said. He also told them, “I want to say clearly – we will make our own decisions and the State of Israel will do everything necessary to defend itself.”

It should be noted that since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in Gaza, the tension with Iran has been increasing. Meanwhile, on April 1, the Israeli forces attacked the consulate of Tehran in Damascus, the capital of Syria, killing several high-ranking military officers, including the commander of the Quds Force, the elite branch of the Iranian military. After this, Iran warned of a retaliatory attack on Israel.
