Israel has announced the end of military operations in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, and Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
After a month-long campaign, these two cities were completely crushed by the occupying army. Daily Sabah reported this information in a report on Friday.
The Israeli military said more than 250 Hamas fighters were killed in Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah. Besides, six kilometers long tunnel of Hamas was destroyed and the bodies of six hostages were recovered.
Israel also said that Palestinians in the southern Gaza Strip who were told to leave the city will now be able to return. Through this, Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah became a safe humanitarian zone again.
Troops that withdrew from Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah are now preparing to take part in operations in other areas of the Gaza Strip.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, more than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed in the 10-month war in Gaza. More than 98 thousand people were injured.
