The hospital compound is in the Deir al-Balah area, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced from other areas of the valley have taken refuge.

Besides, three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli missile attack on a house in another area of Deir al-Balah. A separate Israeli attack killed eight people and three inside a car in the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza City.
