Israeli attack in Lebanon, 2 killed

Two members of an armed group were killed in an Israeli strike in Lebanon’s Bekaa region. The armed group said this in a statement on Friday (April 26).

Israel’s military said in a separate statement that its air force killed Mosab Khalaf in Lebanon’s Meidaun area. He was a member of the Lebanese armed group Jama’a Islamia and carried out attacks against Israel.

Jama’a Islamia said two of its field commanders, Khalaf and his relatives, were killed in the attack.

A Lebanese security source confirmed that Khalaf was a local officer of Fajr Force, the armed wing of the Jama’a Islamia group. The group had earlier fired rockets into Israel.
