Around 58 percent of Jews have lost trust in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This information was revealed in a recent survey conducted in the occupied territories.
According to the results of the survey published in the Israeli media, this crisis of trust has arisen after Netanyahu fired his Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
According to a report by Israel’s Channel 12, about 55 percent of Jewish settlers believe that the Gaza war will be prolonged due to Netanyahu’s political interests.
In addition, the survey also revealed that 62 percent of Jews believe that Israel Katz, appointed as the successor to former Defense and War Minister Gallant, is not the right person for the position.
Another result of the survey showed that about 45 percent of Jewish settlers are pessimistic about Israel’s democratic future.
After recently firing Gallant, Netanyahu said that a “crisis of trust” between him and the defense minister was hindering the conduct of the war. Netanyahu accused Gallant of being in favor of the “hostage-release agreement” in Gaza.
More than 43,552 Palestinians have been killed and 102,765 wounded in the Gaza war that began on October 7, 2023. Most of them are women and children, according to Gaza health authorities. Source: IRNA
