Meeting with participants of Central Asia-Caucasus Fellowship Program held in Washington

A reception for participants of the Rumsfeld Foundation’s Central Asia-Caucasus Fellowship Program (CAMCA) was organized at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the USA.

The event was attended by Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim, representatives of the Rumsfeld Foundation and fellows of the CAMCA program.

Welcoming the guests, Khazar Ibrahim noted that the meetings with the program participants have become traditional and hailed the progress made within the CAMCA program to highlight regional issues. He recalled that the annual meeting of CAMCA will be held in Baku next year.

Executive Director of the Rumsfeld Foundation Sarah Tonucci lauded cooperation with Azerbaijan. She highlighted the close relations with the Embassy of Azerbaijan, which have been going on for many years and expressed her gratitude for the meeting.

The event then continued with an exchange of views and networking.

Since 2008, the CAMCA program brings together representatives from 10 countries of Central Asia, Afghanistan, Mongolia, and the South Caucasus every spring and fall. The program lasts 5 weeks.
