Union Home Minister Amit Shah opened up about the infiltration issue during his election campaign in Jharkhand, India. He also dragged West Bengal. Now, while responding to that attack, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief and Chief Minister Hemant Soren mentioned the issue of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. His question is, ‘Why was Hasina given shelter in India?’
While campaigning for the party candidate in the Garhwa assembly constituency, Hemant has simultaneously attacked Amit Shah and the central government. At the same time, he has also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving shelter to Hasina.
He alleged that the Center and BJP leaders are taking a ‘double’ role regarding Bangladesh.
Hemant said that Modi bowed his head before the Constitution when he took oath as Prime Minister. He said that the country will run according to the Constitution. All sections of society will get equal rights. I want to ask him (Modi), have you made any internal arrangements with Bangladesh? Why did you let Hasina’s helicopter land in India?
Earlier, while campaigning in Jharkhand, Amit Shah had claimed that the West Bengal and Jharkhand governments could stop infiltrators from crossing the border from Bangladesh and entering India if they wanted to. Infiltration is increasing with the help of the local administration and the state government.
He promised that if the BJP comes to power in Jharkhand, it will take away land from infiltrators and bring strict laws to deport them from the country.
Responding to Shah, Hemant said that the electricity generated in Jharkhand is being supplied to Bangladesh. Besides, isn’t it the responsibility of the Center to guard the border and prevent infiltration? The state government has no hand in this.
The assembly elections in Jharkhand are coming up. Voting in two phases on November 13 and 20. Counting on November 23. The partners of the ‘India’ camp are contesting the upcoming elections in an alliance. The seat allocation of Congress, RJD and CPIML Liberation along with JMM has been finalized. JMM will contest 43 seats, Congress 30.
Apart from this, RJD and CPIML Liberation will contest 6 and 4 seats respectively. However, the alliance will fight a friendly fight in these three seats – Chhatarpur, Bishrampur and Dhanwar.
