Most Israelis and Jews consider Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a dangerous and threatening figure for Israel. Such alarming information has emerged in a recent survey by the country’s Channel 13.
The Iranian news agency IRNA reported the results of the survey on Wednesday night, citing the Palestinian news agency Samar.
52 percent of Israelis surveyed believe that Netanyahu is a threat to Israel’s security.
This perception has reportedly intensified among them after some secret information was recently leaked.
The survey also revealed that 60 percent of Israelis consider recently dismissed Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to be more suitable than current Defense Minister Israel Katz.
Netanyahu recently announced the appointment of Katz as his replacement after dismissing Yoav Gallant.
Immediately after the announcement, thousands of Israelis took to the streets in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem to protest Netanyahu’s move.
They see Netanyahu’s decision as an attempt to prolong the war in Gaza. At the same time, the anger in Israel has spread due to his failure to release prisoners held by the Palestinian independence and resistance organization Hamas.
Protesters gathered in front of Netanyahu’s residence on Tuesday night and tensions flared there. At that time, clashes also occurred between Netanyahu’s supporters and opponents. Some of Netanyahu’s supporters threw pepper spray at the opponents.
Among the participants in these protests and movements, which were divided into different groups, were also members of Israeli families imprisoned in Gaza. They have long accused Netanyahu and his cabinet of playing with the lives of their loved ones. Source: IRNA
