Israeli major killed in Rafah

An Israeli major was killed during an operation in Rafah, southern Gaza, Palestine. The Times of Israel reported this information about the country’s military.

In a report on Sunday (July 7), the media said that the deceased officer’s name is Major Zala Ibrahim. The 25-year-old Major was serving as the company commander of the 601st Battalion of the Combat Engineering Corps from the city of Sajur Druze.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the death brought the number of Israeli soldiers killed in the ground operation against Hamas in Gaza to 326.

Incidentally, since the start of the Gaza war on October 7 last year, more than 38,000 Palestinians have been killed so far. Millions more have been injured in Israeli attacks. Most of them are women and children.
