Netanyahu forced to stop speaking in the face of artillery fire

Israel has killed 43,000 Palestinians in the last 1 year from the blockaded Gaza Strip. The number of injured is more than 100,000. Among them, Israel has also killed Hamas leaders Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar. No matter how much success is claimed with arrogance, Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has actually ‘failed’ in the Gaza war.

Although critics have been making this claim for a long time, Israel itself has been questioning Netanyahu’s role. Netanyahu faced obstacles while giving a speech in Jerusalem on Sunday. Netanyahu was at a ceremony commemorating those killed in a Hamas ambush in Israel last year. There, relatives of the bereaved families condemned Netanyahu.

The British newspaper The Guardian reported this in a video report on Sunday (October 27).

The report said that a memorial service was held in Jerusalem to commemorate those killed in the attack by the Palestinian independence organization Hamas on October 7 last year. Netanyahu was giving a speech in memory of them. However, he was forced to stop speaking in the face of the curses of his relatives.

The event was broadcast live. Video footage shows that the audience started shouting shortly after the speech began. Netanyahu stood still on the stage. In the middle of his speech, the crowd started to make noise.

At that time, some people said to Netanyahu, “Damn you.”

At that time, a protester kept shouting repeatedly, “My father has been killed.”

According to the Hebrew date, yesterday, Sunday, was the one-year anniversary of Hamas’ attack on Israel. On October 7 last year, Hamas fighters crossed the border from Gaza and killed about 1,200 people. At the same time, they took 251 Israelis hostage.

While some hostages have been rescued and released, at least 100 more are still being held by Hamas, putting increasing pressure on the US administration and Netanyahu’s government.
