Ahmad Abdel Hadi, the top leader of Hamas, one of the Palestinian independence organizations, said that the Palestinian nation is united in determining the future of the besieged Gaza.
He said this while evaluating a solidarity agreement between Palestinian organizations brokered by China on Wednesday.
Ahmad Abdel Hadi, the representative of Hamas in Lebanon, said that the decision to put aside the differences between the Palestinian independence organizations carries the message of the unity of the Palestinian nation, which is the result of the Al-Aqsa operation conducted on October 7.
Ahmad Abdel Hadi told Al-Mayadeen television channel that the statement released from Beijing is also the result of the Al-Aqsa operation.
Regarding the deployment of international forces in the Gaza Strip, the Hamas leader emphasized that any such move would be considered the occupation of Gaza and the international forces as occupying forces.
He added that Beijing’s declaration placed a huge responsibility on Palestinian leaders to take advantage of the Al-Aqsa campaign and fight against Israeli genocide.
On July 14, the leaders of various Palestinian organizations met for two days in Beijing, the capital of China, and the Gaza-based Hamas and the West Bank-based Fatah movement reached a compromise agreement.
According to the agreement, the two parties will form a national government after the Gaza war.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced the meeting.
Palestinian organizations also welcomed the International Court of Justice’s ruling on the Israeli occupation and settlement of Palestinian lands, according to a statement published in Chinese media.
Earlier in April, Beijing hosted the first round of meetings between Fatah and Hamas officials to reach an agreement and resolve their differences.
China has historically supported Palestine and advocated a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
China also stated that the United States should support the UN resolution to establish a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. At the same time, Chinese officials are increasingly raising the issue of Israeli crimes in Gaza in the world court.
