Proposal to stop wedding ceremonies in Pakistan to curb air pollution

After all this, the Advocate General (AGP) of Punjab has brought a different proposal. He presented this proposal in Lahore High Court. He said, to deal with pollution, people of Punjab may be asked to refrain from conducting marriage ceremonies in October, November, December from next year. He claimed that during the wedding ceremony, Shabadbaazi and firecrackers are burnt, resulting in increased pollution.
At that time, the Advocate General also said that the government has formed task forces in all districts to deal with smog. The government has picked up 100 buses since November 9.
According to IQAir data, Lahore has the most polluted air in the world. India’s New Delhi and Democratic Republic of Congo’s Kinshasa are ranked second and third respectively.
