At least seven airlines have canceled flights to Israel due to fears of an Iranian attack. They include Delta, United Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Air India.
On Thursday (August 1), the Israeli media reported on Channel-12.
According to the report, on Thursday morning, a German Airlines Lufthansa plane landed in Larnaca, Cyprus instead of Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel. The plane’s crew refused to enter Israeli airspace. Fly Dubai has also canceled some of its pre-scheduled flights.
The Times of Israel reports that 70,000 people are now staying at Ben Gurin Airport in Tel Aviv. Most of them are trying to leave the country. Some came again to cancel their tickets.
On Wednesday (July 31), occupying Israel killed Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Palestinian armed group Hamas. He was killed in a secret attack in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered a direct attack on Israel to avenge this murder. He gave this order in an emergency meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council on Wednesday.
The media reported that Iran’s Supreme National Security Council held an emergency meeting shortly after the announcement that Ismail Haniya was killed in Tehran. At that time, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered a direct attack on Israel.
Meanwhile, Iran and its allies are going to sit in talks to avenge the murder. It is known that Iran’s top officials will meet with their allies in Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen to discuss this matter. In such a situation, it is feared that war may spread in the Middle East.
