The disabled young man was beaten to death by Israeli soldiers

A young man with Down syndrome and a physical and mental disability died after being attacked by a dog that was let down by Israeli soldiers. The tragic incident took place in Sujaiya in the Gaza Strip.

According to the report, the name of the 24-year-old young man is Mohammad Bahr. He lived with his family members. He was suffering from Down syndrome. The young man could do nothing but speak.

Mohammad Bahr’s mother, Nabila Ahmed, said that since June 27, the occupying Israeli troops launched a massive attack on Sujaiya. They were hiding in their house from that day. But one day the Israelis came to their house. Asee first let a dog inside the house. The dog bit Mohammad and tore him to pieces.

The mother of the Palestinian youth who was killed regretted that they did not release Mohammed despite being disabled. Everyone was taken out of the house and taken to a separate room. They lick the dog there. At that time Mohammad was shouting loudly from that room.

Mohammed’s family rushed to their home last Wednesday after the Israelis left Sujaiya. He went there and found his dead body lying in the house. They also found that Muhammad’s face was being eaten by insects.

Nabila Ahmed, Mohammed’s mother, said, “I can’t forget the image I saw of him screaming and trying to get free from the dog.”

Muhammad’s 71-year-old mother said there were 16 of them in the house when the Israelis attacked. Among them were his two sons, their wives and children. The children were staying in the bathroom to avoid being hit by Israeli bombs. But they kept Muhammad inside the house. As a result the dog entered and bit him first.

Her mother said the dog bit her chest. Then he bit his hand and started tearing it apart. Muhammad was screaming and trying to free himself. At that time, blood was flowing from his body.

She tries to convince Israeli soldiers that her son is disabled when the dog attacks. At one point they released the dog. But Muhammad was taken to a separate room. Her mother asked her to leave but she did not. Instead, a doctor entered the room and administered anesthesia. After that no more words or shouts of Muhammad could be heard.

His mother said he asked a soldier where Muhammad was. In response he says Muhammad is no more.
