Another mayor was killed in a barbaric Israeli attack in the besieged Palestinian territory of Gaza. The deceased mayor’s name is Yad al-Maghari. He was the mayor of Nuseirat, Gaza. Besides, four more Palestinians were killed in this attack.

According to the report, five people were killed in the Israeli operation in central Gaza, among them the popular mayor of Nuseirat, Yad al-Maghari. They lost their lives when Israeli forces attacked the municipal office.
In a post on social media platform X, the chairman of the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, Rami Abdul-Maghari, called the slain al-Maghari “one of the most active mayors in the Gaza Strip.”
In addition, the Gaza media office condemned the killing of the mayor of Nuseirat. In a statement, the press office called the killing of Nuseirat Mayor Yad Ahmed al-Maghari a “war crime committed with the aim of creating chaos”.
The statement said Al-Maghari was “loyal and dedicated to his duty and work” and was engaged in assisting the people of the Nuseirat refugee camp throughout the period from the beginning of the war.
Earlier, Israeli strikes also killed the mayors of the southern Az-Zahra and central Gaza municipalities of Magazi. In addition, the headquarters of several municipalities across Gaza were also destroyed by Israeli aggression.
“The mayors killed in the Israeli attack were faithful examples of diligent and uninterrupted service,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera reported that four people were killed and six others injured in an Israeli attack on a residential house in the Magazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
On the other hand, the number of Palestinians killed in Israel’s ongoing attack on the Gaza Strip since October last year has increased to at least 36,654, the Health Ministry of the besieged territory said on Thursday.
The ministry’s statement also said that another 83 thousand 309 people were injured in the attack. The statement also said that 68 more people were killed in Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours.
