The new Prime Minister of Kuwait is Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah

His Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday appointed Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as the country’s Prime Minister. The Middle Eastern country got its fourth prime minister after December 2020.
The emir of Kuwait, in an emirial order, asked Sheikh Ahmad to submit names for the formation of the cabinet. At the same time asked to form the government.
His Highness the Amir directed Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to inform the National Assembly about the new cabinet. The order will come into effect after publication of the official gazette in this regard.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah resigned in April this year, months after being nominated to form the government. His resignation was a mere formality when a new cabinet was formed that month.
