
The top leaders of Hamas were killed in a secret attack by Israel

The Palestinian independence organization Hamas is fighting against the occupation Israel’s long-term aggression. As part of that, the group launched a surprise attack on Israel across the border on October 7 last year. Since then, the Israeli army has been carrying out indiscriminate destruction in Gaza in response.
Ismail Haniyeh, the top leadership and political leader of Hamas, was killed in the ongoing war in Gaza. However, this is not the first time that top Hamas officials have been killed in an Israeli attack.
Israel has previously targeted and killed top Hamas officials in isolation; The latest addition to which is the assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh.
January 1996
On January 5, 1996, Hamas leader Yahya Ayyash was killed in a secret attack by occupying Israel in the Shin Bet area of Beit Lahia, Gaza. Israel created a secret attack through this attack.
March 2004
Israel killed Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the spiritual leader and founder of Hamas, in a secret attack in Gaza. A crippled man since childhood, Ahmed Yassin was the terror of Israel, the world’s most powerful occupier. An Israeli helicopter fired missiles at the Hamas spiritual leader as he was leaving a mosque after early morning Fajr prayers. Yasin along with his bodyguard were killed in that attack.
April 2004
Abdelaziz al-Rantisi, Yassin’s successor and co-founder of Hamas, was killed in an Israeli missile strike. On March 24, 2004, Abdel Aziz was seriously injured while visiting the family home of former Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin in Gaza. He later died on April 17 while undergoing treatment. Abdel Aziz was known as the ‘Lion of Palestine’.
January 2024
On January 2 this year, Hamas Deputy Chief Saleh al-Arouri was killed in a drone attack on a Hezbollah stronghold in the southern outskirts of Beirut, Lebanon. Saleh, 57, is the deputy head of Hamas’ political bureau and one of the founders of the Qassam Brigades, the group’s armed wing. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had been threatening to kill him before the war began on October 7.
July 2024
Ismail Haniyeh, the political head of Hamas, was the latest victim of the Israeli secret attack. He and his personal bodyguard were killed in a raid in Iran’s capital Tehran on Wednesday (July 31). Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised Hamas Nirmul while addressing the US Congress recently. Within a week, the head of Hamas was killed by occupying Israel.
