US President Donald Trump has reiterated his outrageous plan to take control of the Palestinian blockaded Gaza. He said that the United States is committed to buying the Gaza Strip and taking ownership of it.
Trump told reporters on Air Force One on his way to New Orleans on Sunday (February 9) local time. Al Jazeera news.
The US president said, ‘The United States is committed to buying the Gaza Strip and taking ownership of it. ’
Gaza should be considered a ‘great real estate site’, Trump said, and other countries in the Middle East could also be given the responsibility to rebuild it.
On the way to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans, Trump said, we can also give other countries in the Middle East the responsibility to build some of the reconstruction of it (Gaza). Others can do it under our patronage.
‘We are committed to ensuring ownership of it until Hamas is destroyed. Although Hamas has nothing to return to here. The place has become a ruin. ’
Trump claimed, ‘If we can give them a safe place to live, they won’t talk about going back to Gaza. They want to go back to Gaza because they have no choice. When they have a choice, they won’t want to go back to Gaza. ’
Meanwhile, Hamas, the ruling party in Gaza, has called Trump’s latest proposal ‘absurd’. Izzat al-Rishek, a member of the organization’s political bureau, said in a statement shared on Telegram, ‘Gaza is not a property that can be bought and sold and it is an integral part of our Palestinian land.’
He said that dealing with the Palestinian problem with the mentality of a real estate businessman is a recipe for failure. The Palestinian people will fail their displacement and deportation plans.
US President Donald Trump made nasty comments about Gaza at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday (February 4).
He announced that the United States would “occupy” Gaza and reorganize it under its own control.
Widely criticized for various reasons, Trump said that the devastated valley would be rebuilt and massive economic development would be achieved, creating a large number of jobs and housing.
