Saudi Arabia has completely rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement on the displacement of the Palestinian people from their own land. Netanyahu recently said that Saudi Arabia should establish a Palestinian state on its own land, as there is a lot of empty space in the country.

In response, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday (February 9) that it rejects such comments, which are essentially an attempt to divert attention from the ongoing crimes and ethnic cleansing of the Israeli occupation forces against their Palestinian brothers in Gaza.

The statement added that Saudi Arabia highly values the condemnation, dissatisfaction and complete rejection of these comments by the brotherly countries against the Israeli leader.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry stressed that this extremist, occupying mentality does not understand the true significance of the Palestinian land and the historical, emotional and legal connection of the Palestinian people. They believe that Palestinians have no right to live. That is why they have completely destroyed the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring more than 160,000 people, most of whom are children and women. This has not shown any human feeling or moral responsibility.

The statement also said that the Palestinians are the true owners of their own land, they are not intruders or immigrants whom the occupying Israel can expel at will.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry also noted that the propagators of this extremist ideology have prevented Israel from accepting peace. They have rejected peaceful coexistence, ignored peace initiatives taken by Arab countries, and have continued to perpetuate injustice against the Palestinians for the past 75 years. This has revealed a complete disregard for truth, justice, international law, and the right of people to live in dignity in their own land as established in the UN Charter.

The Foreign Ministry also said that the rights of the Palestinian people are eternal, and no one can take them away, no matter how long it takes.”

Saudi Arabia concluded the statement by saying that sustainable peace is only possible if there is a return to reason and acceptance of the principle of peaceful coexistence, which can only be achieved through a two-state solution.
