North Korea’s state media has condemned US President Donald Trump’s proposal to “occupy” Gaza as “ridiculous”, the North’s state news agency Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said in a commentary on Wednesday (February 12) without directly mentioning Trump by name, saying that the proposal was destroying the Palestinians’ faint hope for security and peace.
The KCNA commentary said, “The world is now boiling like a pot of barley under the heat of the US.”
Donald recently said that the US wants to evacuate Gaza residents and rebuild the war-torn Gaza. The commentary was published in KCNA in response to Trump’s shocking announcement.
The KCNA commentary criticized the Trump administration’s calls to occupy the Panama Canal and Greenland. The Trump administration’s decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America has also been criticized.
The KCNA report said, “The United States should wake up from its chronological confusion and immediately stop violating the dignity and sovereignty of other countries and peoples.” At the same time, the United States has also been called a “blackmailer.”
North Korea often speaks out against Western views on international affairs. It is vocal about the situation in Gaza. North Korea blames Israel for the bloodshed in Gaza. And they allege that the United States is playing an accomplice role in this.
