
Turkish President’s phone conversation with Dr. Yunus, what was discussed

The chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh. His longtime friend and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated Muhammad Yunus by telephone. Besides, they talked about various issues related to the two countries.
This information was confirmed in a statement from the Press Wing of the Chief Adviser on Tuesday.
The statement said, Dr. Erdoğan congratulated Yunus as head of the interim government by phone. During the phone conversation, Erdoğan expressed regret for the loss of life in the ongoing floods in Bangladesh. Along with that, he promised to stand by the flood affected people with humanitarian assistance.
Instead, the chief adviser thanked his longtime friend Erdogan. Turkish First Lady Emine Erdoğan also recalled that she is a member of the United Nations Zero-Waste Forum.
The Chief Adviser urged the Turkish President to increase Turkey’s trade with Bangladesh. Said, Türkiye is a strong global power. Turkey needs investment in important sectors including manufacturing in Bangladesh.
Erdoğan said that he will soon send a high-level delegation to Dhaka to help rebuild Bangladesh. He also invited the chief adviser to visit Türkiye.
Dr. Yunus accepted Erdogan’s invitation and said he would visit Türkiye at a convenient time. President Erdoğan has been invited to visit Bangladesh. He also accepted that offer.
