The US presidential election is going to be held in November this year. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed hope that Turkey’s relations with the United States will improve after the upcoming elections. At the same time, he also expressed doubts about this.

Erdoğan mentioned that the behavior of the previous administrations of the United States was extremely disappointing for his country.

“I hope the new leadership will not be worse than the previous administration,” the Turkish president expressed hope.

Erdogan also raised the issue of Donald Trump’s F-35 fighter jets and trade deficit. He said that the F-35 issue has created disappointment not only in the period of Donald Trump, but in all American administrations.

Also, he mentioned Turkey’s debt of 1.45 billion dollars and said, “This is not a small amount and we will continue our steps to recover this debt”.
