What was the discussion between Erdogan and Pezeshkian to bring stability to Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in Cairo, Egypt, to attend the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation or Developing-8 meeting. On Thursday, he met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the D-8 summit. Erdogan stressed the need to ensure stability in Syria in the meeting.
Regarding the content of Erdogan’s discussion with Pezeshkian, Turkey’s Presidential Communications Directorate said, “President Erdogan noted that the stability of Syria will serve the stability and security of the entire region. And the rapid recovery of Syria can be achieved with the contributions of all regional and international leaders.”
Erdogan called for the reconciliation of Syria and the restoration of the country’s “regional integrity and unity.” He also expressed hope for the establishment of a Syria free from terrorism. Where all religious communities and ethnic groups can live side by side in peace. Erdogan also called Turkish-Iranian relations important for the stability of the region.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, on the other hand, called for the participation of all (Syrian) groups in the future government and respect for different beliefs and religions. He also said that for more than 14 months, Israel has been targeting the Middle East, especially Gaza and southern Lebanon, and now… Syria.
In this regard, Pezeshkian told Erdogan, “It is our religious, legal and humanitarian duty; to prevent further harm to those suffering in the conflict zones.”
