Saudi army chief Fayed al-Ruali has visited the Iranian capital Tehran. It is reported that his visit is to discuss defense.

On Sunday (November 10), Iranian state media reported that the Saudi army chief met with Iranian army chief Mohammad Bagheri.

Saudi Arabia has not yet established relations with Israel. However, Riyadh wants to get closer to Israel through American mediation. In the past few years, Trump’s daughter’s son-in-law Jared Kushner has discussed this with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman several times.

According to Iranian state media, Saudi army chief Ruali attended a meeting in Tehran with a high-level military delegation. They discussed bilateral relations and defense issues.

Earlier, Bagheri had a phone conversation with Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud last year to discuss defense cooperation and regional development between Iran and Saudi Arabia. In 2023, Tehran and Riyadh restored relations, ending a seven-year conflict, through Chinese mediation.
