Xi Jinping expressed his condolences to the injured Trump

Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed condolences and sympathy over the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.

A person named Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire at Trump’s election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, USA on Saturday (July 13) local time. Trump survived, but the bullet pierced his right ear. He is currently safe and well, although he is bleeding a lot due to an ear injury. However, Matthew, who tried to kill Trump, was shot dead by Secret Service agents.

The entire world was shocked by the attack on the presidential candidate. The head of government and state leaders of different countries of the world have strongly condemned this incident.

Following this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China said in a statement, “Beijing is concerned about the attack on Trump.” And President Xi Jinping sympathized with Trump.

The statement also said, “China is closely monitoring the shooting incident of former President Donald Trump.”

The rival candidate and US President Joe Biden condemned the attack on Trump. “Violence has no place on the soil of the United States,” he said.

The incident has also been condemned by US Speaker Mike Johnson, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, newly elected UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
