America and Europe are supporting the Ukrainian government against Russia in the Ukraine war. Among them are concerns about China’s support for Russia. China, a country of 1.4 billion people, is now one of the world’s most powerful military and financial powers.
A visit to Paris at the start of the European tour revealed the warming China-France relationship. Macron visited China in April 2023. China views France as a strong member of the European Union. The Chinese president met with European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen on Monday after a state banquet at the Elysee Palace.
After the Paris visit, the Chinese President will visit Serbia and Hungary. Beijing cited Serbia, a country outside the European Union, as a close ally this week. Under President Aleksandar Vucic, the country has steadily strengthened trade and investment ties with China.
In addition, it is assumed that Xi Jinping will take the initiative to strengthen relations with the country’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán during his visit to Hungary.
