29 killed in night club fire in Turkey

29 people died in a fire in a night club in Istanbul, Turkey. Several other people were injured in this fire.

This fire happened on Tuesday. The night club was not open at that time. There was renovation work going on.

The night club, located in Gayrettepe, Istanbul, was in the basement of a 16-story residential building.

The governor of the province, Davut Gul, said that the fire has already been brought under control. Those killed were believed to be doing renovation work.

The governor’s office in Istanbul said in a statement that at least one person was being treated in hospital for burns.

Initially, 15 people were reported dead in this fire. Later it was reported that 29 people were killed in this terrible fire accident. There is no word on whether the death toll may increase.
