Additional Director of Jammu and Kashmir Police Jai Kumar said that the incident of “gunfight” took place when the operation was launched on Wednesday morning.

On June 11, independence fighters attacked an army camp, injuring five soldiers and a special police officer. Another police camp was damaged in another of their attacks.

After the twin attacks, the security forces have launched a coordinated operation to strengthen the law and order situation. According to police sources, three locals have been arrested for providing food and shelter to freedom fighters.
