
Garbage-filled balloons fly over the South Korean president’s home

North Korea’s garbage balloon has landed in South Korea’s presidential office. The balloon went down on Wednesday morning local time. Seoul security officials confirmed the matter.
According to CNN, North Korea has been sending garbage-filled balloons to South Korea for a few days. Some such balloons landed in South Korea on Wednesday. However, this is the first time that it has fallen into the premises of the President’s residence.
The presidential residence complex in the Yongsan area of the South Korean capital. Officials in charge of security at South Korea’s presidential palace said members of the chemical, biological, and radiological warfare response team went to remove the debris soon after the balloon arrived. After investigation and testing, it was found that there was no dangerous substance in the balloon.
South Korean officials did not say whether the president was at the residence when the balloon went down. Previous presidents used other offices for their official duties. But the current president conducts his office from this residence.
South Korea has recently intensified its campaign against North Korea. Then North Korea sent another garbage-filled balloon.
