Amid the ongoing tension, Israel carried out retaliatory attacks on multiple Iranian military targets on Friday. Four of the country’s soldiers were killed in the attack. In the wake of which, Major General Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has now threatened to retaliate.

Referring to the Zionist regime’s attack on Iranian soil, the IRGC chief wrote a letter to the commander-in-chief of the army, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi. In which he commented that the consequences of the Israeli crime will be unimaginable for the occupiers.

In the letter, Salami expressed condolences to Mousavi for the martyrdom of four soldiers in the recent Israeli aggression against Iran. He said, “I extend my condolences to you, the brave army commanders and staff, as well as the families of the martyrs.”

He also mentioned in the letter that the illegal actions of the Zionist child-killing government failed due to the preparedness of Iran’s air defenses. This highlights Tel Aviv’s miscalculation and helplessness on the battlefield.

Earlier, in a statement on Saturday, the Iranian Air Defense Base said that the country’s air defense forces successfully repelled the Israeli attack. However, limited damage was caused to some sites, the extent of which is being investigated.
