Israel is conducting another operation in Al Shifa hospital

The Israeli forces have started an operation around the Al Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip. As a result, concerns have arisen about the safety of thousands of displaced Gazans sheltering in this hospital. The operation started on Monday.
Eyewitnesses say that there was an airstrike in the hospital area. Israel claims senior Hamas leaders are using the hospital.
Al Shifa is the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army also raided the hospital premises in November last year. The international community was outraged about this.
A statement from the Israeli army said that troops are now conducting a brief operation in the Shifa hospital area. The operation is being carried out based on intelligence that senior Hamas terrorists are using the hospital.
Al Shifa Hospital is located in Al Rimal, a suburb of Gaza City. Witnesses in Gaza City told AFP the airstrikes took place in the Al Rimal area. Al Shifa Hospital has been surrounded by tanks.
In the Gaza Strip, the Hamas-ruled health ministry said hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced by the war were sheltering at the hospital.
