Israel has again indiscriminately attacked Palestinian crowds waiting for relief in the besieged Gaza Strip. 17 people were killed and 30 others were injured in this incident.
Israel has attacked aid seekers in Gaza before.
According to the report, the number of people killed in the attack on the Al Kuwait roundabout in Gaza has increased from 12 people to 17 people. Another 30 people were injured in the attack. Aid-seeking Palestinians have been gathering at the intersection in Gaza for the past few weeks, and since January this year, they have been subjected to a series of Israeli attacks.
Earlier, the Palestine Red Crescent said five Palestinians were killed in a gun attack while distributing aid at the same roundabout last Friday. At that time thousands of people gathered there waiting for the arrival of trucks carrying flour and other supplies.
Gazans overseeing the distribution of aid opened fire, witnesses said, but Israeli troops also opened fire in the area and some moving trucks hit people trying to get food. This is what caused the casualty.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses to the attack described “painful scenes” of medical teams and civilians struggling to transport the injured for treatment. Even some injured people were lying on the ground after the attack.
The Israeli military has previously carried out large-scale attacks on Palestinians waiting for trucks delivering food and aid, killing scores of aid-seeking Palestinians.
