Haj season is here. To ensure the smooth and uninterrupted performance of one of the obligatory acts of worship for Muslims, Saudi Arabia has started issuing Hajj permits to citizens of Saudi Arabia and foreign Muslims residing in the country from Wednesday.
According to the UAE report, local citizens and residents can collect these permits from the government platform Absar and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s own website. The news is from Gulf News.
This year’s Hajj will be held in the middle of June this year. To this end, Saudi Arabia launched e-registration for citizens and immigrants to facilitate the Hajj process last February.
Apart from this, the country has also instructed all foreign Umrah pilgrims to leave Saudi Arabia by June 6 to ensure that the two holy cities of Mecca and Medina are not overcrowded during the Hajj.
For Saudis wishing to perform Hajj this Hajj season, the country’s Ministry of Hajj has launched a total of four packages starting from 4 thousand 99 Saudi Riyals to 13 thousand 265 Saudi Riyals based on the classification of accommodation facilities.
This package can be paid in three installments. This facility is only for citizens or residents of Saudi Arabia.
Those who will go to Hajj and those who will be appointed by the government of Saudi Arabia to serve them. All of them must take certain vaccinations compulsorily. People over the age of 18 should be vaccinated against Covid-19, influenza and meningitis. Last year about 1.8 million people performed Hajj.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has started the preliminary preparations for this year’s Hajj following a new strategy for foreign Hajj pilgrims. According to the new strategy, there will no longer be any specific places allocated to countries in advance at the holy places of Hajj.
Instead, the countries that will first finalize the Hajj agreement with Saudi Arabia, will be allocated specific places first.
