Israel went ahead with a dramatic plan to rescue hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, Palestine. Detectives were sent to Nuseirat refugee camp in the valley to confirm the location of the hostages. There they rented a house for three times the price of Palestinian Muslims wearing hijab and niqab. They identified themselves as Palestinians displaced by Israeli attacks. At the time of renting the house, they had various household items including sheets, mattresses, mats. Also spoke in Arabic, just like the residents of Gaza.
The Israeli media The Zeus Chronicle has highlighted such a far-reaching plan before the campaign. The report published on Thursday under the title of ‘The Inside Story of Israel’s Hostage Rescue’ said that before going to the main operation to rescue four hostages, including a young woman, on June 6, the intelligence of the Israeli forces collected and analyzed information intensively for 19 days. And that’s why female and male detectives are appointed as ordinary people. The matter is kept strictly secret by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
Detectives received information on May 12 that there were four hostages originally in the Nuseirat refugee camp. The IDF then made plans for the operation in the War Cabinet. After receiving the approval, the work of collecting intelligence under cover began. At the same time drone footage is collected. Later, artificial intelligence (AI) is used to analyze the data and video footage.
Detectives stayed in the camp for 19 days to confirm the location of the hostages. Meanwhile, 28 commandos of Israel’s special Yamam police counter-terrorism unit trained to rescue hostages. However, the spies were ordered to leave the area on the night before the raid on June 6. The campaign started at 11 o’clock that day.
First, Argamoni, a young woman, was rescued and sent to Israel by helicopter. A Hamas guard was killed there. But when they went to another building to rescue the remaining three, the Israeli commandos came under severe attack. There, about 30 Hamas fighters attacked with machine guns and grenades. But around 300 innocent Palestinians of Nuseirat camp were killed in the raid.
Meanwhile, the advanced technology that Israel used to succeed in this operation was provided by the United States. Such data analysis capabilities or AI technology were not available to Israel until the start of the war. According to the Washington Post, the United States has increased its intelligence collection on Hamas since the start of the Gaza war. At the same time, the country has given Israel great advantages in drone footage, satellite images and data analysis using advanced software. It was all AI dependent. As a result, an Israeli official believes that the operation to rescue the hostages was successful.
