The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) has announced to continue fighting until the end in Myanmar’s Arakan State. ARSA, which has been fighting the Myanmar army for a long time demanding the independence of the Arakan region and the rights of the Rohingya, made this announcement.
The rebel group Arakan Army has been fighting against the Myanmar junta government for almost eight months. In this ongoing war, the position of several organizations, including the Arakan Rohingya Army (ARA), a Rohingya affiliate organization in Rakhine State, has been on the side of the junta forces. Due to this, the control of the bordering Arakan State under the control of the rebel group Arakan Army has created fears of a new prolongation of the war.
Meanwhile, Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) Commander-in-Chief Ata Ullah said that ARSA members will never give up control of Arakan State. They will continue to fight against the extremist militant group known as Rakhine until the end.
He expressed his firm belief that the war will continue until the terrorist rebel Arakan Army (AA) is completely defeated.
He also demanded that all charges against the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) be dropped. Because there is no evidence that ARSA members have targeted civilians in Arakan State.
He said that ARSA members respect and care for all ethnic groups living in Arakan State, Myanmar.
