The number of dead in the barbaric attacks of the occupying Israeli forces in the occupied Palestinian territory of Gaza has increased to 33 thousand 360 people.

The Gaza Ministry of Health gave this information in a statement on Tuesday (April 9).

According to the statement, 33 thousand 360 people were killed and 76 thousand others were injured in the attack by the invading Israeli forces. Most of the casualties are civilians including women and children.

Meanwhile, a mayor was killed in an Israeli attack on Gaza’s Magazi camp. The name of the deceased mayor is Hatem Al-Ghamri. He was the Mayor of Magaji Municipality. Several others were killed with him.

Al Jazeera reported that Israeli warplanes bombed a council building in Magazi camp in central Gaza, killing several people, including the mayor of Magazi municipality, according to the Gaza government’s media office.

The deceased Hatem al-Ghamri was dedicated to his work and served the people of Magazi “until his last moment,” Gaza’s media office said in a post on Telegram.

Meanwhile, Israel continues its offensive in the Gaza Strip, ignoring the International Court of Justice’s interim ruling.

On Monday, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that at least 38 more Palestinians were killed in brutal Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours.

It should be noted that since the unprecedented cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7, Israel has been carrying out continuous air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip. Thousands of buildings including hospitals, schools, refugee camps, mosques, churches have been damaged or destroyed in this Israeli attack.

In addition, more than two million residents have been forced to leave their homes due to Israeli aggression.

Basically the Israeli invasion has reduced Gaza to rubble. According to the United Nations, about 85 percent of Gaza’s Palestinians have been displaced by Israel’s brutal offensive. And with severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, all of Gaza is now food insecure.

In addition, 60 percent of the infrastructure in the besieged territory has been damaged or destroyed. Thousands of people are living without any form of shelter and fewer relief trucks are entering the region than needed. On the other hand, Israel is accused of genocide in the International Court of Justice.

In an interim ruling in January this year, the court ordered Tel Aviv to stop its genocidal actions and take measures to guarantee the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.
