Death toll rises to 74 in Myanmar after Cyclone Yagi and floods 89 people are missing in this incident. On Sunday, the country’s media reported the information in Global New Light.

A total of 350 people have died in Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand in floods and landslides since Cyclone Yagi hit last week, according to government estimates.

Rescue workers are working to rescue missing people and the floods have destroyed 65,000 homes and destroyed five dams, Myanmar’s state media reported. Earlier on Friday, a statement by the junta government said the death toll had reached 33 and 235,000 people had been displaced.

Floodwaters have submerged large swathes of farmland in central Myanmar. The surrounding areas, including the capital Naypyidaw, known as low-lying areas, are still under water.
