Tornado in China kills 5

A tornado has wreaked havoc in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou. So far 5 deaths have been reported. Besides, 33 more people are missing. The country’s state news agency Xinhua News Agency confirmed this information on Sunday.

According to reports, the tornado hit the capital of the southern province of Guangzhou, known as the country’s commercial hub, around 3pm local time. There are 1.27 million people living there and thousands of factories. This province is one of the most important in the export sector of the country.

According to Xinhua News Agency, about 141 factories there have been damaged. However, there was no damage to the house. Earlier this week, four people were reported dead after heavy rains and severe flooding in Guangzhou province. According to state media reports, this was the worst flood in the province since 1950.
